COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE
AML Framework Overview
Pan Nation Energy is committed to preventing its business and operations from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crime. Our anti-money laundering (AML) framework applies a risk-based approach to counterparty due diligence, transaction monitoring, and ongoing compliance throughout our trading activities.
Risk-Based Due Diligence
Pan Nation Energy conducts due diligence on counterparties before establishing business relationships and applies ongoing monitoring where appropriate. Our assessment considers factors including the nature of the business relationship, ownership and control structures, jurisdictions involved, source of funds, payment arrangements, and other relevant risk indicators.
Where higher risks are identified, enhanced due diligence measures may be applied, including additional verification, closer scrutiny of transactions and payment structures, and appropriate management review.
Transaction Monitoring
Transactions are reviewed in the context of the counterparty relationship and the underlying commercial activity. Particular attention is given to unusual or unexplained payment arrangements, changes in banking instructions, transactions inconsistent with the expected nature of the relationship, and other indicators that may require further review.
Potential concerns are escalated through established internal reporting procedures for assessment by the Compliance function and, where required, further action in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Internal Controls & Record Keeping
Pan Nation Energy maintains appropriate records of counterparty due diligence, transaction documentation, compliance assessments, and related reviews in accordance with applicable requirements and internal procedures.
Our internal controls are designed to support consistent application of AML requirements across our operations and provide an appropriate record of the due diligence and compliance decisions associated with our business activities.
Training & Oversight
Employees receive appropriate AML and financial crime compliance training relevant to their roles and responsibilities. The Compliance function oversees the implementation of the AML framework, supports the assessment and escalation of identified risks, and reviews policies and procedures as regulatory requirements and risk conditions evolve.
Transparency & Cooperation
Pan Nation Energy responds appropriately to lawful requests from competent authorities and cooperates with regulatory and law enforcement bodies where required.
Our AML framework is reviewed periodically to reflect changes in our activities, applicable requirements, and emerging financial crime risks, supporting responsible and transparent participation in international energy markets.
